December 08 – Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception

Today, we celebrate the feast of Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus.. The Perfect model of charity. Mary was conceived without sin and her conception was immaculate. She was free from original sin and filled with sanctifying grace. Mary received this redeeming grace because God freely gave her the gift of his love.
For us Catholics, this is our Holy Day of Obligation; we are supposed to go to Mass to hear the holy gospel about the Immaculate Conception and also this is our thanks giving for our patron for all the endless blessings that we have received every now and then.
May God continue to bless you and your family!
